2012

Things have been pretty quiet around here recently - There’s no hidden reason for that, I’ve just been enjoying Christmas. Now that Christmas is done and the new year is here, it’s time to get back on with some good old Coventry skateboarding.

2012 is proving to be a good year for those of you who skateboard in Cov - we’ve got 2 full video releases to look forward to (our own Cannonball Holocaust, and Andy Scott’s new full length video for Ride), we’ll have Covpark Combat going down in the summer, and we’re hoping to get the summer road trip fully sorted this time (last year it kind of fizzled out and didn’t happen).

On top of all of this, Terribleco is working on yet ANOTHER video project. We’re fast approaching our TEN YEAR anniversary (yes, in 2003 Terribleco made their first video and I created our first website). As such, throughout this year we’re going to be doing a series of short video parts from 4 gentlemen who had a large hand in making Terribleco what it is. Cannonball Holocaust will showcase a few lads who are the future of Cov skateboarding, but we’re determined to show you that some of the chaps from Terribleco’s past can still kill it. More on this soon….

What else for 2012? Well, we’re still looking for feedback on that skatepark survey we put out just over a month ago. Without making outlandish claims, we’re getting a little tired of the situation with Covpark (the possibility of the extension not happening is ever growing) and Coventry needs a decent skatepark facility - we’re currently weighing up other solutions, although we all know that skatepark projects are difficult to get running.

With all of this stuff going on, it’d be a bit of a dick move from the powers that be if we all fell victim to the dreaded 2012 apocolypse!
